Anyone wanna help me get my life on track?

Oh my--i am so glad you got that off your chest. My first reaction is for you not to do anything crazy. Many of us have gone through this same situation. First of all, it sounds like your parents screwed your life up. Let's get you back on your feet. So, you dont want to be like dad and follow in his footsteps? that's okay. Now, about this college thing, yah, we are all pushing you young adults in it because we know it does bring about many more opportunities. Can a person be successful without a college education? You bet. It sounds like you are alittle more mature than the average college entrance student. How about online college? Or, it sounds like a technical student is more for you. Google some. Maybe even go to the college you are currently putting on hold and express your concerns. I would recommend you take a deep breath, recognize that you have some fabulous ets, know that you are in a transitional stage, and maybe take a break from school. It will always be there. I do, however, worry that you will p up your scholarship opportunities. Please hang in there, I followed a similar path and I turned out just fine. I would have never believed it either.
