Starting a non-profit website?

I have started working on a non profit website with a long term goal of turning it into a non profit organization or perhaps an NGO. We already have a web domain registered with an established mission statement. I will obtain trademark and copyright for the website shortly, within a few month's time. However, in terms of Incorporation, I am thinking to leave that off to next year once the website is up and running. Is that a good idea? Is incorporation needed at all? Does anyone have any feedback, suggestions regarding this? Is my thought process right? Please advise.
