Would I be better off if I were clueless to hate and prejudice?

It seems like the more I know about racist things said about people. The more sad I feel. If I didn't know that people thought hatefully or negatively about me, and I was just clueless about hate. Would I be better off? I mean the more I go online the more things i'm revealed to. Like all those racist slurs used on different types of people. Then there are the stereotypes I hear about people. I kind of wish I didn't know people thought negatively about each other. I wish I didn't have the knowledge of hate. It sucks knowing that some people might not like you or hate you just because your ancestors came from a different geographic land. Why would people hate you even before they know you. It's like they don't take the chance. It's scary because how do I know who the nice and accepting people are, and who are the dangerous ones that really hate and want to hurt you. So that's quite scary. What do you think.
