New Zealand accent is insulted?

I saw a post earlier about NZ accents so I decided to look it up, being a 14 year old New Zealander wanting to see what others views were on our accent. I was a bit annoyed with how I kept seeing posts about New Zealanders mispronouncing vowels for e.g fush and chups? Who the hell says fush and chups? I certainly don't and none of my friends do either. I think a lot of people have only heard bad impersonators and news readers talk in a NZ accent and so they don't really have any idea what we talk like. I'm not sure but I don't think Americans would compare themselves to news readers. Its true we talk differently region to region but we don't talk to the extent that some pople have said. What do other people think about this? (not trying to be rude but this isn't another post for Australians to bag New Zealanders so if you want to do that go someplace else)
