What are some historical Christian scholarly contributions to science?

Lost: Wouldn't it be something if Muslims and Christians could join their scientific expertise together and lay-down their prejudices for one another? Muslims have contributed much to science, as you have rightfully, illustrated. Christianity has their contributors too i.e. Von Braun, Bohr, Carver, etc. (there are a lot more) but you get my gist ! It makes you wonder, as if there were some "Force" in the Universe devising a successive plan.
